Controversial content creator Ademola Abiodun known as DJ Chicken, has changed his Instagram profile picture to Seyi Tinubu, less than 24 hours after regaining his freedom from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
DJ Chicken was released on Tuesday after spending 11 days in detention over alleged threats made against Seyi, the son of President Bola Tinubu.
On Wednesday, he replaced his profile photo with Seyi’s image and shared additional posts on his Instagram stories, including a photo of Seyi with the caption, “Hmm dddy,” as well as videos of Seyi dancing at an event and alongside his wife.
The social media activity came shortly after DJ Chicken publicly thanked Seyi following his release.
Abiodun was arraigned before a Lagos magistrate’s court on July 10 and remanded to the correctional facility following a video he posted on his social media accounts.
In the now-deleted clip, which has since gone viral, he made comments in Yorùbá regarding Tinubu’s potential re-election bid in 2027.
The post included a death threat directed at Seyi.
Before his release, the content creator’s elder sister appealed to influencer Tunde Perry and members of the public to intervene on his behalf.
She pleaded with Seyi to forgive her brother, saying they were orphans with no other family to rely on.
“Please, Tunde Perry, I’ve heard a lot about you. Please help me support him. To all his fans, please help me support him. Don’t let him go to jail,” she had said.
“I’m his elder sister. We’re orphans, and we have no one. Please forgive him. I beg on his behalf.”
