Prince Taiwo Adenaike has received his certificate as the Alaperu-elect of Iperu Remo Ijebu, marking another significant milestone in the process leading to his emergence as the next traditional ruler of Iperuland, Ogun State.
Prince Adenaike’s emergence followed deliberations among princes of the Fibigbuwa ruling house after the passing of the former Alaperu of Iperu, HRH Oba Idowu Basibo.
The presentation of the certificate formally recognises his selection as the preferred candidate for the revered traditional stool, bringing the community closer to the next phase of the succession process.
Prince Adenaike was among six princes considered for the throne. Other contenders included Prince Adesina Wolabi Oyebanjo, Prince Jayeola Oso, Prince Olugbenga Awojesu, Prince Azeez Olatunji Folorunsho and Prince Jelili Junaid.
His selection attracted attention across Iperu, where residents have been following developments surrounding the succession of the late monarch.
The Alaperu stool holds considerable traditional and cultural significance in Iperu, making the selection of a successor an important event for the town and its people.
With the certificate now received, attention is expected to shift to the remaining traditional and official procedures required before the eventual coronation of the incoming monarch.
Prince Adenaike’s emergence represents a new chapter for Iperuland, as residents look forward to the continuation of the town’s customs, traditions and leadership under the next Alaperu.
His coronation is expected to complete the transition following the demise of Oba Idowu Basibo, subject to the fulfilment of all necessary requirements.
Prince Sheuquadri Taiwo Adenaike, the Alaperu-Elect, paid a courtesy visit following his emergence as the new traditional ruler of Iperu.
We congratulate him on his emergence and wish him a peaceful, successful and impactful reign as he prepares to ascend the throne of his forefathers.
