Operatives of the rapid response squad (RRS) in Abia State has been accused of raping an 18 year old student of Abia Polytechnic.
According to students who took part on the protest earlier today,RRS officials arrested 6 of their colleagues on Wednesday,they later released 5 of them Leaving the 18 year old female student behind
According to a student “They arrested three young boys and three girls at a lodge close to the school yesterday. They took all to their station and after extortion they released all except one girl.
The girl was later found hospitalized and according to her, she was raped by three officers.She is still in the hospital as I speak and is said to be in a critical condition.
The semester Examination earlier scheduled to commence today has been till further notice due to the protest.
