The Federal Executive Council has approved a 20 per cent upgrade in salaries for personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and the increase will take effect from January 2022.
This was made by the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi to the State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday December 15.
Noting that the upward review is a product of the issues raised during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020, Dingyadi stated that the decision was taken to boost the morale of police personnel across the country.
