The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a one-month warning strike.
This was announced by Emmanuel Osodeke, the president of the union at a press conference on Monday after a two-day meeting of the union’s National Executive Council (NEC).
According to him, the industrial action, which begins immediately, Monday 14th of February 2022 is “comprehensive and total”.
Some of ASUU’s demands include the payment of Earned Academic Allowance, revitalization fund, the replacement of the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System, IPPIS, with the University Transparency and Accountability System UTAS, among others.
