An early morning accident involving three vehicles has claimed the lives of three passengers at the Ketu bus stop along the busy Ikorodu road.
The early morning accident involved a long passenger bus, a yellow bus and another vehicle that led to the loss of three lives while many sustained injuries of varying degrees.
An account from a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) monitor said the remains of the three deceased and injured passengers have been evacuated by the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) to the Accident And Emergency Hospital, old tollgate, by seven up.
An eyewitness said the fatal accident was caused by the driver of the long passenger bus that lost its brake system and crashed into a Danfo yellow bus.
Reports said that efforts are ongoing by the men of LASTMA to remove the wreckage of the buses and ease the traffic buildup along the road.
