Former Governor of Osun state, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola says his administration is leaving behind, for the incoming government, a sum of N14billion cash in the State’s coffers.
Governor Oyetola made this known in his farewell statement to the people of the State.
The outgoing governor claimed that his government had successfully paid N97billion from the total debt inherited in 2018 when he assumed office.
He disclosed that his administration didn’t borrow a dime anywhere in the world to finance the economy of the State, saying he successfully kept faith and maintained fidelity with his electoral promises since the assumption of office.
He thanked God and residents of the state for their support, cooperation and prayers during his tenure as Osun state governor.
It would be recalled that Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as winner of the July 16 2022 governorship election in Osun state.
