The Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has fixed Friday, 27 January to deliver judgement in the election dispute between Governor Ademola Adeleke and former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Adeleke had polled 403,371 votes to defeat the then incumbent governor, Oyetola to win the July 16 2022 governorship election.
Oyetola had gone to the tribunal to challenge the governor’s victory, claiming that the election was rigged in Adeleke’s favour.
He also alleges that Adeleke used forged certificates to contest the election and won.
After both sides had completed their defence, the tribunal said it would get back to the parties to fix date for the judgement.
But on Tuesday, the tribunal, theough its Secretary, David Mike, in a notice sent to all involved parties in the case, said judgement has been fixed for this Friday.
The three-man panel Is led by Justice Tertse Kume, who will deliver the judgement on Friday.
