This week, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is expected to announce that it has chosen Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential flag-bearer for the 2023 election, as its candidate.
According to numerous reports, the National Publicity Secretary of a significant faction of the SDP, Alfa Mohammed, disclosed this update on Sunday, claiming that the former governor of Lagos State is the most competent of the 18 candidates competing for the presidency.
Mohammed was quoted as saying by Punch: We’ve settled on this: Asiwaju is it. In fact, we will adopt Asiwaju within the next few days unless there is a logistical problem. To accomplish that, we will hold a press conference. The logistics issue is our only issue. Keep in mind that we’re doing it on our own accord.
We cherish Asiwaju. The man, in our opinion, will advance Nigeria. In most cases, everyone will benefit if he assumes that position (presidency). Thus, that individual is superior.
