Nollywood actor and Labour Party Surulere Constituency House of Assembly Candidate, Olumide Oworu, and his campaign team were attacked while out campaigning on Thursday in the Surulere area of Lagos State.
This comes just hours after the actor, who is running against Desmond Elliot, a colleague and candidate for the All Progressives Congress, said that he and his campaign team were attacked on Tuesday while campaigning in Surulere. Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Command, confirmed this.
The mission colleagues expressed in a video shared on Thursday that their telephones and effects were taken from them, and some were harmed.
The video’s narration began, “It is a terrible situation now.” They took all of our phones and injured many people.
