On the evening of June 24th, 2023, a fatal accident occurred at the busy intersection of Oke Padi Area Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo Ogun State.
The accident involved a vehicle and a motorcycle.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Red GLK Benz was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop and hit the bike.
The impact of the collision caused both the vehicle and the bike to spin out of control and come to a stop on the opposite side of the intersection.
Emergency services arrived on the scene within minutes of the accident. The driver, Hassan Isiaka, died instantly and the other guy is in critical condition and was rushed to the nearest hospital at the time of filling this report
Sadly, Hassan Isiaka, a young boy believed to be around 20 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, it was gathered that the driver who drew the Benz fled after the occurrence of the incident.
The intersection where the accident occurred remained calm for several hours as investigators worked to clear the scene and gather evidence.
The police have moved the car to there station and are urging anyone to remain calm.
The community was left in shock by this tragic accident, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the young boy who lost his life and the other boy who remains in critical condition in the hospital.
