Meta Speaks On Facebook, Instagram Worldwide Shut Down | MarvelTvUpdates

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has reacted to the worldwide shutdown of its social media platforms on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

We reports that social media platforms Instagram, Facebook and Messenger are currently experiencing a downtime worldwide.

The situation has left millions of confused due to the inability to connect with friends and customers across the globe.

The outage appeared to hit the platforms around 3:45 pm Nigerian time.

Meta spokesperson, Andy Stone, said in a post on X that the company was aware of the current trouble its users experienced.

“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Stone said.

As at the time of writing this report, there were around 200 reports of outages for WhatsApp on Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources, including users.
