Labour Insists On N250,000 Minimum Wage As Private Sector Accepts N62,000 | MarvelTvUpdates

The Tripartite Committee on the new National Minimum Wage meeting has ended in Abuja, the federal capital.

The state government and the organised private sector agreed to pay N62,000 as new minimum wage, but the organised labour insists on N250,000 as minimum wage.

The committee is expected to present the report to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

We recalls that the Nigerian Government resumed negotiations with Organized Labour on Wednesday after rejecting their earlier demand of N494,000.

This led to a strike which was called off a day later after the Federal Government agreed to increase the minimum wage.

More to come….
