The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) on Saturday announced it will from October 2024 charge churches and worshippers in Lagos State, who parked vehicles on designated streets around places of worship.
According to the statement made available to Saturday Telegraph, indiscriminately parked vehicles will also attract the wrath of parking codes.
The statement dated July 19, 2024, addressed to the Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State Branch, the LASPA informed the organization of the planned commencement of its On-Street Parking scheme at designated streets within the metropolis.
The statement signed by Ayokunle Akinrimisi, Head of Operations of the Agency on behalf of its General Manager, advises strict adherence to the advisory from good citizens, while also urging PFN not to hesitate to contact the Agency through designated means of contact for further clarifications.
The statement reads, “I am directed to inform your revered organization that the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) will be commencing its.
“In view of this, I am using this medium to inform your eminence, that vehicles parked on designated streets by the church and its members, will be charged hourly and indiscriminately parked vehicles will be enforced accordingly.
