Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso Calls For Patience And Unity In Address To Nigerians | MarvelTvUpdates

In a heartfelt address to the nation, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), spoke on the pressing issues facing Nigeria and called for a renewed commitment to good governance, transparency, and unity.

“My Fellow Nigerians,” Kwankwaso began, acknowledging the deep sense of responsibility he felt in addressing the current situation. He lamented the avoidable hardships that have beset the country due to leadership missteps since 2007. However, he emphasized that it is never too late to correct these errors and steer Nigeria towards economic development, prosperity, and improved welfare for its citizens.

Kwankwaso highlighted the adverse impact of poor governance, noting how it has left many, particularly the youth, feeling angry, hungry, insecure, and hopeless. He cited several instances of government interference and political crises, such as the chieftaincy matters in Kano State, the impeachment of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, and the sabotage of the Aliko Dangote refinery, among others, as examples of avoidable crises that have exacerbated the country’s problems.

“I appeal to the leadership of the country at all levels to take necessary steps to address the myriad challenges facing the country,” he urged.

Speaking as an elder and a concerned citizen who believes in Nigeria’s potential, Kwankwaso acknowledged the growing calls for protests against bad governance. He expressed understanding and resonance with these sentiments but urged Nigerians to prioritize the nation by being patient and supportive of the government.

“If any government fails to provide the necessary leadership for a better Nigeria, we will have the opportunity as citizens to elect the people who can bring the required change using our votes,” he reminded.

Kwankwaso warned of the potential consequences of national protests, recalling past tragedies where protests escalated into violence, resulting in loss of lives, destruction of property, and deepened divisions within communities. He urged Nigerians to consider these consequences and channel their energy into more effective and peaceful means of transformation, particularly through the power of the ballot.

In these trying times, Kwankwaso’s message was clear: Nigeria stands at a crossroads, and it is up to its citizens to navigate the path towards a better future through patience, unity, and democratic engagement.
