
Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer Tems has secured another Grammy, this time for her remake of Seyi Sodimu’s classic hit Love Me Jeje, and she has publicly expressed her gratitude to the veteran Nigerian artist for his role in clearing the sample of the song.
Writing on X, Tems acknowledged the timeless nature of the song, stating, “I just want to thank the wonderful Seyi Sodimu for his role in the support and clearing of his OG song Love Me Jeje. It’s brought the original song back to life for me, and I’m glad that it’s getting its flowers today. A timeless classic.”
She also extended her appreciation for his love and support, highlighting the impact of the song’s resurgence.
Love Me Jeje, originally released in 1997, remains one of Nigeria’s most cherished love songs, and its revival through Tems’ work has reignited interest in the classic hit.
