Oba Dr. Mufutau Adesesan Yusuf Commissions Ultra-Modern NSCDC Office Building In Oke Sopen

Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State. In a grand ceremony held today, His Royal Highness Oba Dr. Mufutau Adesesan Yusuf FAAC, FMN. Erinkitola 1, the Sopen Lukale of Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo, commissioned a newly constructed office building for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) beside the Ministry of Forestry in Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo.

“Oba Dr. M.A. Yusuf Erinkitola 1 is the Sopen Lukale of Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo. He has been a driving force behind various development projects in his kingdom, including education and security initiatives”.

“The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, State Commandant Mrs. Remilekun Ekundayo, Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government Hon. Bolaji Odusanya, Oba Abayomi Banjo the Olokine of Ojowo, Iyaloja of Oke Sopen, Chief Mrs. S.A. Adeleye, Iyalaje of Ijebu Igbo Chief Mrs. Idowu Bamiro, Otunba Bayo Odunowo, Olorituns and other prominent traditional rulers and security operatives”.

“Welcome Address by Oba Dr. M.A. Yusuf, FAAC, FMN, the Sopenlukale of Okesopen, Ijebu Igbo”.

“It is a great honor to stand before you today on the occasion of the official commissioning of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Ijebu North, Ogun State Headquarters”.

“I am proud to say that this noble building was constructed by me personally, without any external funding. The idea to build these structures came to me during the planning of my 20th Coronation Anniversary, celebrated on October 28, 2023”.

“As I reflected on how to give back to the community, I was approached by the immediate past D.O. of NSCDC Ijebu North, Mr. Ibrahim, who requested a new office building. I promised to provide one, and although I couldn’t complete both buildings at the same time, the temporary occupation by the So Safe Corps was a blessing in disguise”.

“Today, I thank God for enabling me to hand over these buildings to the State Commandant, commemorating my 21st Coronation Anniversary”.

“Additionally, I am delighted to provide academic scholarships to 20 secondary school students and 10 higher institution students across various universities nationwide”.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the State Commandant, Mrs. Remilekun Ekundayo, whose tireless efforts made this day possible. I also thank my Chiefs, Olorituns, DPO, Fire Brigade Officers, So Safe Corps, and other security personnel present today”.
