Portable, a popular Nigerian singer, has found himself in hot water with the Ogun State Government. According to reports, the government issued a notice of contravention to Portable at his residence in Iyana ilogbo, Ota, Ogun State.
The notice alleged that Portable built and operated an illegal bar without obtaining the necessary approved permits from the state government.
The situation took a turn for the worse when Portable was arrested, along with his signees and artists who were present at the bar. The Ogun State Government has been cracking down on illegal structures and businesses, and it appears that Portable’s bar was one of them.
Portable, whose real name is Okikiola Badmus, rose to fame with his hit song “Zazoo Zehh,” which featured Olamide and Poco Lee. He has been making waves in the Nigerian music industry, but it seems like his business ventures have landed him in trouble with the law.
The Ogun State Government has been working to develop the state’s infrastructure and economy, and it’s likely that they’re taking a tough stance on illegal businesses to maintain order and generate revenue.
