BHENJI; Thanks for having me.

Ayo Marvel; Can you start by telling us your full name?

BHENJI; My full name is Sosanya Abayomi Benjamin.

AYO MARVEL; How did you come up with your business name, Bhenji Shot It?

BHENJI; Bhenji is actually my nickname.

AYO MARVEL; Where are you from?

BHENJI; I’m from Ijebu Igbo, the largest town with land mass in Ijebu.

AYO MARVEL; What’s your educational background?

BHENJI; After my secondary school at Molusi College Ijebu Igbo, I proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) for a degree course and graduated in 2017.

AYO MARVEL; What inspired you to become a photographer?

BHENJI; I was inspired during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) SAED program.

AYO MARVEL; How did you get started in photography?

BHENJI; I started with just a phone, and then after COVID-19 in 2020, which was three years after I finished from OOU, I learned photography fully as a craft.

AYO MARVEL; Can you share some of your most notable projects or clients?

BHENJI; All my clients and projects are notable, and I take all of them seriously, regardless of their size or nature.

AYO MARVEL; How long have you been working as a professional photographer?

BHENJI; Let’s say about two years now.

AYO MARVEL; What drives your creative vision?

BHENJI; Apart from photography, I also specialize in teaching.

AYO MARVEL; How do you balance artistic expression with client expectations?

BHENJI; Communication is key. I communicate with clients about what they want, and I also share my ideas with them. We work together to create something great.

AYO MARVEL; What camera equipment do you typically use?

BHENJI; I use Nikon D3500 and also a D7200.

AYO MARVEL; How do you market your services to attract new clients?

BHENJI; Most of my clients come from recommendations. I won’t lie about that.

AYO MARVEL; Can you share your pricing strategy?

BHENJI; That’s a business strategy that shouldn’t be exposed, but I’ll say it’s in line with the current economic situation.

AYO MARVEL; How do you handle client relationships and communication?

BHENJI; I make sure to approach them in a friendly way.

AYO MARVEL; What role do social media and online platforms play in your business?

BHENJI; They give me exposure, and I also derive some inspiration from them.

AYO MARVEL; How do you think photography has impacted society?

BHENJI; In different ways, photography is a great way people express their feelings and keep memories that are worth thousands of words.

AYO MARVEL; Can you share any advice for aspiring photographers?

BHENJI; Be yourself and don’t be in a haste.

AYO MARVEL; How do you see your own photography style evolving in the future?

BHENJI; That’s unpredictable, because no one knows the future.
