A tragic accident occurred early this morning near omo ilu foundation hall along sawmill area in Ijebu Igbo.
A Dangote truck lost control and collided with another truck carrying a full load of cow hides and skins (awo ponmo).
The impact was severe, claiming the lives of three individuals.
According to eyewitnesses, the Dangote truck driver escaped the scene, leaving behind two occupants of the other truck and the motorboy riding with the Dangote truck.
The latter two, along with one other person, died in the accident, with their bodies burnt beyond recognition.
The incident has been brought under control, with the police already on the scene, ensuring calm is restored.
As investigations unfold, more details are expected to emerge.
The community was left in shock as the news of the accident spread, with many expressing their grief and sadness over the loss of lives.
