Premier League champions Liverpool have made an ambitious move to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli, but face a steep counter-demand from the Italian club in a high-profile transfer saga.
According to Valter De Maggio, via Sportskeeda, Liverpool has offered Napoli a player-plus-cash deal involving Uruguay forward Darwin Nunez and Italian winger Federico Chiesa in a bid to lure Osimhen to Anfield.
However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has responded by demanding an additional €20 million on top of the two players.
Chiesa, currently valued at €14 million, and Nunez, valued at €45 million, make up a combined value of €59 million. Adding Napoli’s cash demand brings the total valuation to €79 million, above Osimhen’s current €70 million market value on Transfermarkt.
