Controversial social media activist and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), took his protest to a new level on Monday by staging a dramatic demonstration at the gate of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s office in Abuja over the ongoing strike by primary school teachers.
The protest comes as primary school teachers in the FCT have remained on strike since March 24, 2025, a period spanning over 90 days, due to the alleged failure of Area Council Chairmen to implement the newly approved ₦70,000 national minimum wage.
In a symbolic move, VDM appeared in school uniform alongside a group of children dressed similarly and held a makeshift class right at the front gate of the Minister’s office, effectively converting the location into an open-air classroom.
During the session, he led the children in a recitation of the alphabet, laced with political jabs.
“S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike,” VDM called out, as the children responded in unison.
The demonstration quickly attracted public attention, but VDM declined to speak to journalists.
When approached by Press men at the scene, he refused to give a comment but firmly stated, “The Minister’s gate is now the new classroom for the children.”
Photographs captured by journalist Nathaniel Shaibu showed the influencer in uniform among the children, directing the makeshift lessons and later supervising their lunch break.

At the time of reporting, the children were seen enjoying rice and chicken meals, which were reportedly provided by VeryDarkMan and his friends as part of the day’s protest activities.
