A self-styled Ghanaian prophet, Ebo Noah (real name Evans Eshun), has reportedly been arrested by the Ghana Police Service following a widely publicised failed end-time prophecy, according to social media reports.
The alleged arrest, said to have occurred on December 31, 2025, was reportedly ordered by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and carried out by the Special Cyber Vetting Team, though no official police statement has yet been released.
Ebo Noah had claimed God instructed him to build an ark to save humanity from a catastrophic flood he said would destroy the world on December 25, 2025. He urged followers to contact him to secure space in the ark.
A day before the predicted event, he announced the flood would no longer happen, saying God had changed His mind after his fasting and prayers—sparking widespread backlash and criticism.
Reports say police had earlier attempted to arrest him on December 18, following orders from the Elmina District Commander, but he allegedly evaded arrest, prompting a manhunt. His parents and neighbours were reportedly questioned during the search.
The renewed police action is also linked to a visit to Benya FM on Christmas Day by a presenter and a Liberian citizen, which reportedly reignited police interest in the case.
