The ongoing reinvestigation into the death of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has taken a new turn as his fiancée, Omowunmi, and two other individuals were reportedly arrested by authorities.
According to Yomi Fabiyi, the arrests were made as part of efforts to aid the reinvestigation process into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
Sources, however, confirm that Omowunmi and the two others have since been released on bail, pending further investigations.
This development follows renewed calls by individuals and human rights groups for a credible, impartial, and transparent reinvestigation into Mohbad’s death, amid continued public interest and concern.
The case remains under active review, and authorities have reiterated their commitment to ensuring that justice is served through due process.
