The Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Dr. Omobolaji Odusanya, has commended Dapo Abiodun for what he described as exemplary leadership and a unifying approach at the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) State Caucus meeting held in Abeokuta.
Dr. Odusanya praised the governor’s role in strengthening party cohesion and steering deliberations that led to the emergence of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the APC’s consensus governorship candidate ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
In a statement, the council boss congratulated the senator, popularly known as Yayi, noting that his emergence reflects years of dedication to public service, commitment to progressive ideals, and contributions to the development of Ogun State.
He described the consensus decision as a product of collective wisdom among party leaders and stakeholders, adding that it represents a strategic move to sustain the progressive legacy in the state.
Hon Dr. Odusanya also acknowledged the role of party elders and key stakeholders whose guidance, he said, helped solidify unity within the party.
Highlighting the significance of Adeola’s emergence from Ogun West Senatorial District, Odusanya said the development underscores the party’s commitment to fairness, equity, and inclusiveness.
The chairman, however, urged party members across Ijebu North and the state to remain united and focused, stressing the importance of collective effort in securing electoral victories.
He also called on aspirants contesting for National and State Assembly positions to conduct their campaigns with decorum, mutual respect, and loyalty to the party, warning against actions that could undermine its collective interest.
“Now that the party has produced a consensus governorship candidate, all members must work together to ensure victory across all elective positions,” he stated.
Hon Dr. Bolaji Odusanya further expressed appreciation to the party’s national leadership under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as stakeholders in Ogun State, for their continued commitment to strengthening the APC.
He reaffirmed the support of the people and government of Ijebu North Local Government for both the current administration and the party’s governorship candidate, expressing optimism that unity and discipline would guarantee continued political stability and development in Ogun State.
