Ogun Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni Commissions Newly Completed Area Command Apartment During Familiarization Visit to Ijebu-Igbo

IJEBU-IGBO, OGUN STATE – The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, mni, commissioned the newly completed Area Command Apartment at the Ijebu-Igbo Police Area Command during his familiarization tour of the area.
The event marked another milestone in the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to improving the welfare of officers and strengthening security infrastructure across the state.
The Commissioner was warmly received by the Area Commander, ACP Bukoye Oyegbemi, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) under the Area Command, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, Ojuromi VI, other traditional rulers, community leaders and distinguished guests.
Speaking during the visit, CP Ojajuni reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to effective policing, enhanced security and improved welfare for police personnel. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and host communities in maintaining peace and public safety.
In his remarks, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, Ojuromi VI, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for his visit and the commissioning of the new apartment. The monarch commended the Nigeria Police Force for its commitment to safeguarding lives and property and appreciated the Ogun State Police Command for its continued efforts to promote peace and security within Ijebu-Igbo and its surrounding communities.
The royal father also pledged the continued support of the traditional institution in partnering with the police to strengthen community policing and ensure a safer environment for residents.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were traditional rulers from across Ijebu-Igbo, led by the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo and members of the Orimolusi-in-Council. Also present were the Oluomo of Ijebu-Igbo, High Chief Ismail Lawal Abinugbola, the Babaloja General of Ijebu-Igbo, the Iyalaje of Ijebu-Igbo, the Iya Egbe Oniponmo General of Ijebu-Igbo, INLG SLG as well as other prominent chiefs, community leaders and distinguished guests who graced the occasion.
The event concluded with commendations for ACP Bukoye Oyegbemi Ijebu Igbo Area commander and officers of the Ijebu-Igbo Area Command for their dedication, professionalism and unwavering service to the community.
