The Ogun State Government has approved the immediate reconstruction of the Ago-Iwoye–Ijebu-Igbo–Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure and make transportation easier for residents.
Governor Dapo Abiodun gave the approval alongside four other major road projects across the state.
The approved roads are:
- Ayobo (Mopol Junction) – Lafenwa Junction Road, Ota
- Okun-Owa – Ijebu-Ode Road
- Ago-Iwoye – Ijebu-Igbo – Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road
- Odeda – Olugbo Road (Phase One)
- Agbala Road, Iperu
The reconstruction of the Ago-Iwoye–Ijebu-Igbo–Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road is expected to bring relief to motorists, students, traders and residents who use the route daily.
The project is also expected to improve the movement of people and goods, boost economic activities and enhance access to educational institutions and surrounding communities.
Residents have welcomed the development, expressing hope that work will begin soon and be completed on schedule.
The approval is part of the Ogun State Government’s continued commitment to improving infrastructure and promoting development across all parts of the state.
