Temitope Osoba’s Fiancé Denies Allegations, Claims Late Actress Was a Drug Addict and Left Home Voluntarily

The fiancé of late actress Temitope Osoba, Shepherd Itunu, has spoken out on the circumstances surrounding her death and denied several allegations made against him.
In an interview, Itunu said Osoba was his fiancée and that they had been in a relationship for about two years. He explained that although they were not legally married, her aunt was aware of their relationship and that they had lived together.
Itunu denied claims that he chased Osoba out of his house, insisting that she left voluntarily.
He also addressed allegations concerning Osoba’s alleged drug use, claiming that she struggled with substance abuse during their relationship. According to him, he repeatedly advised her to stop but could not afford to send her to rehabilitation.
He said he had videos on his phone which he claimed could support his account but maintained that he did not want to release them on social media.
On allegations that he collected or misused money donated to Osoba during her battle with cancer, Itunu strongly denied the claims.
He said all donations, including a cheque reportedly given by businessman Mike Adenuga, were paid directly into Osoba’s bank account and that he had no access to the funds.
He also denied claims that he used Osoba’s money to build his church or that members of his family assaulted her.
Itunu further said he was unaware of claims concerning N50million allegedly linked to Osoba, adding that they supported each other financially while they were together.
According to him, Osoba once bought gold jewellery for both of them, which she later sold to help settle some bills.
Speaking about the day Osoba died, Itunu said she told him that she and a friend were going to visit Prophetess Kehinde Osoba, whom he described as her adopted mother.
He said he contacted them several times while they were on their way but they later stopped answering his calls.
Itunu said Osoba posted “OGO TUNTUN” on her WhatsApp status around 7pm, leading him to believe that she had arrived at the prophetess’ residence.
He claimed that around midnight, someone called him and told him that Osoba had died at a police station and advised him to run away.
“I was like, why should I run away when I didn’t commit any crime?” he said.
Itunu also denied allegations that Osoba was poisoned in his house, stating that she had left the house about two weeks before her death.
He further denied having access to her phone or knowing her password, while also rejecting allegations that he bullied or physically assaulted her.
The claims made by Itunu are his account of the events, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding Temitope Osoba’s death and the various allegations remain subject to official findings.
