The Nigerian media industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Alhaji Taofeek Adewole Bello, popularly known as Ajisebioyo, a respected radio Yoruba broadcaster, MC and event presenter.
Ajisebioyo reportedly died in the early hours of today. Until his death, he was a broadcaster with Super 96.3FM, where he made significant contributions to the media and broadcasting industry.
He was widely known for his distinctive Yoruba voice, exceptional presentation skills and unique Oyo accent, which endeared him to many listeners and event audiences.
Beyond radio broadcasting, Ajisebioyo was also a highly regarded MC and event presenter whose voice, talent and commanding presence made him a memorable figure at social and cultural gatherings.
His death has sparked an outpouring of grief among colleagues, friends, listeners and members of the wider journalism and entertainment community.
Paying tribute to the late broadcaster, mourners described him as a great MC and exceptional event presenter whose distinctive Yoruba voice would be deeply missed.
“Your voice, talent and presence will be deeply missed. The iconic Yoruba voice with that distinctive Oyo accent is gone just like that. A truly unique voice and talent,” one tribute read.
His passing is a significant loss to his family, colleagues, friends, listeners and the broader media community.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and give his family and loved ones the strength to bear the painful loss.
