Fecund Empire Foundation Launches ‘Ijebu Got Talent 2026’ to Discover and Empower Local Talents

The Fecund Empire Foundation has announced the launch of Ijebu Got Talent 2026, an initiative aimed at discovering, celebrating and empowering talented people and entrepreneurs across Ijebu and neighbouring Yoruba-speaking communities.

The programme is part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of Fecund, with the theme “FECUND @ 10 × IJEBU GOT TALENT 2026.”

The initiative is open to people with different talents and business ideas, including fashion, farming, cooking, entertainment, music, photography, design, craftsmanship, trading, innovation and other creative or entrepreneurial skills.

According to the organisers, the programme will select between 10 and 30 talents or entrepreneurs who will receive support from an empowerment fund of over $5,000.

The programme will take place in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, but participation is open to talented individuals across Ijebu communities, including Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu, Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu-Mushin, Odogbolu and other areas where the Ijebu people and Yoruba-speaking communities reside.

The organisers said the initiative is not only about winning a competition but also about giving participants an opportunity to showcase what they have created, what they are building and how financial support can help them grow.

The campaign encourages talented individuals to come forward and tell their stories, with selected beneficiaries expected to receive empowerment support.

Applications officially opened on August 22, 2026, while entries are expected to close in mid-September 2026.

Interested participants are also encouraged to tag @fecundempirefoundation and use the official hashtags to help the organisers identify and promote their entries.

The initiative is being promoted under the message: “IJEBU IS OUR OWN ABROAD,” reflecting the organisers’ commitment to celebrating and supporting talents from the Ijebu community.

The organisers have also called on members of the public to share the opportunity and tag talented Ijebu people who could benefit from the initiative.
