A painful disagreement has reportedly emerged between the family of late gospel minister Toluwanisings and his wife over where he should be laid to rest.
According to reports, his father wants his son buried at home or in Ikirun, where his late mother was buried. However, his wife reportedly prefers a cemetery in Ibadan, explaining that she cannot bear the thought of seeing her husband’s grave every day.
In an emotional account, his father reportedly said that despite living in a rented single room in Ikirun, he still wants his son brought home and buried in his father’s house if burial at his wife’s home is not possible.
His father also shared touching details about Toluwanisings’ life, revealing that his real name was reportedly Sadia Olayemi Bayonle and that he was born in July 1992. He lost his mother at just six months old and was subsequently raised with support from his maternal family.
According to his father, Toluwanisings’ elder uncle played a significant role in his upbringing, helping with his education and providing for his needs.
After secondary school, he gained admission to Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where he reportedly met his future wife through their church choir.
His father further described him as a loving and supportive brother who cared deeply for his younger half-siblings and helped them financially whenever he could.
One particularly heartbreaking detail was his father’s claim that Toluwanisings had promised, just a day before his death, to help one of his younger half-siblings become established in life.
