In a remarkable show of community spirit and support, the Ijebu Igbo Regberegbe in Council, led by Otun Ganiyu Babatunde, has made a significant contribution towards the upcoming 2025 Medical Mission to Ijebu Igbo, organized by the Association of Ijebu Igbo Descendants North America (AIIDNA).
The council, during a visit to the Obada Health Centre in Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo, officially delivered several essential items to aid the smooth running of the medical outreach. Among the donated items was an air conditioner for the operation room, a vital addition to enhance the comfort and efficiency of the medical team during surgical and clinical procedures.
In addition, the Regberegbe Council made further provisions to ensure the convenience and wellbeing of participants and beneficiaries of the program. They supplied over 200 bags of water, as well as tents and chairs for the comfort of residents who will be attending the free medical tests and treatments during the outreach.
Speaking at the handover, Otun Ganiyu Babatunde expressed the council’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote health, unity, and development within Ijebu Igbo. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring the success of the medical mission, which is set to bring healthcare services closer to the grassroots.
The management of the Obada Health Centre and representatives of the organizing committee expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Regberegbe Council for their timely intervention and generous contributions. They noted that the support will go a long way in creating a conducive environment for both the medical personnel and beneficiaries.

The 2025 Medical Mission to Ijebu Igbo, an initiative of the Association of Ijebu Igbo Descendants North America (AIIDNA), aims to provide free healthcare services, medications, and surgeries to hundreds of residents across the community. The project is being carried out in partnership with key organizations, including the Rotary Club of Ijebu-Igbo Metropolitan, The Nigerian American Nurse Anesthetists Association (NANAA), and IID Omo Orimolusi in Diaspora (UK).
As preparations intensify, the donation from the Ijebu Igbo Regberegbe in Council stands as a shining example of community-driven support and the spirit of Ijebu unity.
