…as Director marks 60th birthday with skill acquisition graduation and community outreach.
The Women Support and Care Initiative International (WOSCIN), a globally recognized non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering women and youth, held a grand empowerment and skill acquisition program in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event also coincided with the 60th birthday celebration of the organization’s President and Founder, Pastor (Dr.) Mrs. Omolara Quadry (née Onasile).
Founded 25 years ago, WOSCIN has been at the forefront of promoting women’s empowerment, youth development, and community advancement both in Nigeria and abroad. The organization is duly registered with the Nigerian government and international bodies, and it has consistently delivered life-changing initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, reducing poverty, and fostering self-reliance.
In her address, Pastor (Dr.) Mrs. Omolara Quadry (née Onasile) expressed profound gratitude to God and all attendees, describing the day as a double celebration marking both her diamond jubilee and the first graduation ceremony of the WOSCIN Skill Acquisition Program in Ijebu-Igbo.

“For 25 years, WOSCIN has remained committed to empowering women and young people through vocational training, computer education, agricultural programs, health support, and campaigns against domestic violence and gender discrimination. Our goal is to give hope and opportunity to those who need it most,” she said.
She also encouraged the trainees to make good use of their newly acquired skills to uplift their families and communities, emphasizing that empowerment is the most sustainable form of development.
During the program, graduating trainees received certificates of completion, and some beneficiaries were presented with laptops and financial support to enhance their productivity. Notably, twelve (12) Trained at Sammy Technology Institute were sponsored for digital training, while three (3) received free laptops as part of WOSCIN’s youth empowerment project.
In addition to training and skill development, WOSCIN also distributed palliatives, food items, and cash gifts to attendees, particularly women and widows from rural communities. The gesture aligns with the organization’s long-standing tradition of providing humanitarian relief such as boreholes, food support, and essential materials in underserved areas.
The event was graced by dignitaries from across Ogun State, including the Special Adviser to the Ijebu North Local Government Chairman on Community Development, Hon. Ogunnowo Adedeji (popularly known as MC Jazzy), who served as the Special Guest of Honour. In his goodwill message, he commended WOSCIN for its unwavering commitment to empowering the less privileged and pledged continued support for initiatives that promote self-sufficiency and community growth.

The ceremony was filled with moments of joy and appreciation, as beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organization and its founder for giving them a platform to learn, grow, and earn a living.
