The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Wednesday raised the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to N835 per litre in Lagos and N839 per litre in Abuja.
The national oil company implemented the new rates across its retail outlets in both cities, marking another upward adjustment in fuel prices amid shifting market dynamics.
The increase followed a similar move by the Dangote Refinery, which on Tuesday announced a hike in the ex-depot price of PMS, a development that has continued to influence pricing across the downstream sector.
Fuel marketers and consumers are expected to feel the immediate impact of the latest adjustment, as petrol prices remain a critical driver of transportation costs and overall inflation nationwide.
