President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed London, bringing to a successful close a landmark two-day State Visit to the United Kingdom the first by a Nigerian leader in 37 years.
The President and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu left the UK on Thursday, March 19, 2026, after a packed programme of ceremonial and substantive engagements that delivered concrete outcomes for Nigeria-UK relations.
In key statements, President Tinubu and British leaders described the relationship as a “partnership of equals” built on mutual benefit, shared prosperity, and strategic collaboration.
