In a continued push for greater inclusion and empowerment of persons living with disabilities, the Hope Beyond Disability Initiative (HBDI) has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Dr. Omobolaji Oluwaseun Odusanya, to explore areas of collaboration.
The visit, which took place on 5 May 2026, focused on strengthening partnerships aimed at promoting welfare, inclusion, and sustainable empowerment opportunities for persons with disabilities within the local government area.
During the engagement, the delegation led by Prince Adeola Olowolayemo (Obakese), CEO of Obakese Films & Entertainment and Founder/Visionary of HBDI, presented the initiative’s vision and mission, which are centered on restoring hope, creating opportunities, and amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities in society.
The team also outlined planned programmes, including advocacy campaigns, empowerment schemes, sensitisation drives, and community support initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of beneficiaries.

According to the group, the objective of the visit was to seek institutional partnership and support from the local government in advancing disability-focused development programmes across communities in Ijebu North.
Responding, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Bolaji Odusanya, warmly received the delegation and expressed appreciation for the initiative. He reportedly listened attentively to their proposals and assured them of the council’s willingness to collaborate on programmes that would uplift and improve the lives of persons with disabilities in the area.
The engagement was described as a significant step toward promoting inclusivity, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to ensuring that persons with disabilities are not left behind in governance and community development.
Prince Adeola Olowolayemo noted that the visit reinforces the belief that disability is not inability, stressing the importance of equal opportunity, dignity, and respect for all individuals regardless of physical condition.
The meeting ended on a hopeful note, with both sides expressing optimism about future collaborations aimed at building a more inclusive Ijebu North.
