The Planning Committee of the 2026 Ojude Oba Orimolusi Festival has officially presented its post-event report to His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Jaiyeoba Lawrence Adedeji Adebajo (OJUROMI VI), the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, in a meeting held on Saturday at the Orimolusi palace in Ijebu Igbo.
Receiving the report, Kabiyesi Alayeluwa Oba Adebajo commended the committee for its transparency, accountability and commitment towards the successful organization of the annual cultural festival.
The revered monarch praised the leadership and members of the committee for their dedication to serving the Ijebu-Igbo community and urged them to remain steadfast in their efforts to promote the town’s rich cultural heritage.
The committee, led by Otun Babatunde Ganiyu, expressed appreciation to the monarch for his support and fatherly guidance throughout the planning and execution of the festival. He also thanked the traditional chiefs, sponsors, donors, Regberegbe groups and all sons and daughters of Ijebu-Igbo at home and in the diaspora for their immense contributions towards the success of the event.
Otun Ganiyu further acknowledged the sacrifices and hard work of all committee members whose collective efforts ensured a successful and memorable 2026 Ojude Oba Orimolusi Festival.
According to him, the achievements recorded during the festival were made possible through the unity, cooperation and unwavering support of stakeholders who believe in the growth and development of Ijebu-Igbo.
He pledged that the committee would continue to improve on its performance in future editions of the festival, assuring the monarch and the people of Ijebu-Igbo of their commitment to delivering even greater successes.
The presentation of the report marks another milestone in the continuous efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability and community participation in the organization of one of Ijebu-Igbo’s most celebrated cultural events.
