Beje High School, Oke Agbo Ijebu-Igbo, witnessed a landmark moment on Friday as members of the 1981–1986 Set of the Beje Old Students Association (BOSA) celebrated their 40th anniversary with the commissioning of an ultra-modern computer laboratory aimed at improving digital learning in the school.
Equipped with a dedicated solar power system, the ultra-modern computer laboratory ensures uninterrupted digital learning.
The project, named Mrs. A.K. Ogunyemi (Iya Beje) Computer Centre, was donated by the Ajoke Ipaye Foundation with support from the Galaxy Royal Klub of Ijebuland. It was commissioned by the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo (OJUROMI VI) the Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo kingdom.
Speaking during the ceremony, members of the 1981–1986 alumni set described the project as a symbol of their enduring commitment to their alma mater and a way of giving back to the institution that played a significant role in shaping their lives.
The anniversary celebration, themed “Celebration of Friendship, Impact and Legacy,” brought together old students, traditional rulers, education stakeholders, guests and members of the school community to celebrate four decades of friendship while investing in the future of the next generation.
Dignitaries present, the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Adelaja Arigbabu, alongside former Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye, His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Adedeji Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, (OJUROMI VI), the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, with his beautiful Olori Bolanle Mary Adebajo, HRM Oba Dr. Abdulrasheed Banjo, PhD, the Olokine of Ojowo and HRM Oba Ibitoye Solaja, the Keegbo of Atikori, during the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the 1981–1986 Set of the Beje Old Students Association (BOSA) and the commissioning of an ultra-modern computer laboratory donated to Beje High School, Ijebu-Igbo, to enhance digital learning and academic excellence.

The Principal of Beje High School, Mrs. Mabekoje, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the 1981–1986 alumni set, the Ajoke Ipaye Foundation, the Galaxy Royal Klub of Ijebuland and every individual who has contributed to the growth and development of the school over the years.
She described the computer laboratory as a significant boost to teaching and learning, noting that it would equip students with essential digital skills required in today’s technology-driven world.
Mrs. Mabekoje also appealed to other old students of Beje High School, as well as philanthropists, corporate organizations and well-meaning individuals, to emulate the gesture by supporting the school with infrastructure, learning facilities, scholarships and other developmental projects.
“We sincerely appreciate everyone who has continued to support Beje High School. This computer laboratory is a major milestone in our journey towards academic excellence. We encourage other old students and stakeholders to come back home and contribute to the growth of their alma mater so that together we can take Beje High School to greater heights,” she said.
The commissioning of the computer laboratory marks another milestone in the history of Beje High School and reflects the growing role of alumni associations in promoting quality education through sustainable investments in public schools.
