The organisers of the annual Orimolusi London Carnival have announced that the 2026 edition of the event will hold on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Burgess Park, London.
The carnival, widely regarded as a celebration of Yoruba culture, unity and community spirit, is expected to bring together families, friends and members of the diaspora for another exciting day of entertainment, cultural exhibitions and recreational activities.
According to the organisers, this year’s event will feature a variety of competitions and attractions, including the Masoyinbo Competition, Table Tennis Competition, Relay and Marathon Races, Ewi and Ijala Competition, Gen Z Dance Competition, as well as traditional indoor games such as Ludo and Opon Ayo.
Beyond the cultural and sporting activities, the carnival will also provide entrepreneurs and business owners with an opportunity to showcase their products and services to a global audience. Interested sponsors will be able to promote their businesses by displaying banners and promotional materials and participating in live interviews during the event. Individual live interview slots will also be available for sponsors.
The organisers disclosed that additional activities and attractions will be unveiled in the coming weeks, while the official event flyer is expected to be released soon.
Residents, families and lovers of Yoruba culture have been encouraged to mark their calendars and prepare for what promises to be another memorable edition of the Orimolusi London Carnival.
