3 Years Without Electricity in Ilesa/Molusi Community as Hon. Ladi Adebutu Donates 500KVA Transformer After Concerned Ijebu Igbo Youth’ Meeting

The Concerned Ijebu-Igbo Youth have raised concerns over the prolonged lack of electricity supply in Ijebu-Igbo, particularly affecting the Ilesa and Molusi communities.

In response to the situation, Hon. Ladi Adebutu today donated and deliver a brand-new 500KVA transformer to the Ilesa and Molusi community, bringing excitement and renewed hope to residents who have endured prolonged darkness.

The people of the community expressed their appreciation to Hon. Ladi Adebutu for the intervention, describing the donation as a welcome development and a major step toward restoring electricity supply to the area.

Representing the PDP candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, Hon. Agbolade Oladapo Olayemi, popularly known as Diplomacy, the PDP candidate for the Ijebu North Constituency 1 House of Assembly seat, also appreciated the people of the community and Hon. Ladi Adebutu for the intervention.

Hon. Agbolade further assured the people that the transformer donation is just the beginning of greater interventions and development for the community.

The donation followed a meeting previously held at Ijebu Igbo Town Hall, where youths, IBEDC leadership, CDA leaders and other stakeholders came together to discuss the electricity crisis and possible solutions. The Ijebu-igbo Council of Elders was represented at the meeting by Otunba Remi Ogunbanjo, who also participated in the discussions that led to the intervention.

The intervention by Hon. Ladi Adebutu has been widely welcomed by residents, with community members expressing optimism that the new transformer will bring an end to the prolonged electricity blackout in the affected areas.

We are grateful to God that the first transformer has been delivered today, and we are still expecting one more transformer for the community.
