YAYI Donates Brand-New 500KVA Transformer to Abraham Adesanya-Aledo Community in Ijebu Igbo, After Four Years Without Electricity

IJEBU-IGBO — Residents of the Abraham Adesanya-Aledo area of Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo, have received a major boost following the donation of a brand-new 500KVA electricity transformer by Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi.
The intervention is expected to help restore electricity supply to the community, which has reportedly been without power for more than four years.
The new transformer was facilitated by Dr. Adeeko Ayodele Fiyinfoluwa (DAAF), Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Youth Development.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Adeeko said the installation of the transformer would commence immediately, with work expected to begin tomorrow, assuring residents that efforts would be made to ensure the equipment is put to use as soon as possible.
He expressed appreciation to Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi for his support and demonstrated commitment to the people of Ijebu-Igbo.
Dr. Adeeko also commended the Concerned Ijebu-Igbo Youth for their continued advocacy and commitment to the development of the community, urging the group to remain united and focused on issues that would promote growth and progress in Ijebu-Igbo.
He further appreciated the APC leadership, party members and residents of the community for their support, while promising that more development initiatives would be pursued.
According to Dr. Adeeko, continued support for the APC would help sustain the delivery of development projects and interventions in the area. He therefore urged residents and supporters to continue to support the party.
The old transformer serving the area had reportedly undergone repeated repairs over the years, with the late Alhaji Keji of Igbaire remembered for his efforts in helping to maintain and repair the equipment. Residents continue to remember his contributions to the community.
The donation of the new transformer has therefore been welcomed by residents and stakeholders as a significant step toward addressing the area’s prolonged electricity challenge.
The development also comes amid growing calls for sustainable solutions to the wider electricity challenges facing communities across Ijebu-Igbo.
Residents expressed appreciation to Senator Yayi and Dr. Adeeko for the intervention, while also appealing for more electricity-related interventions and other development projects across Ijebu-Igbo.
