ATIKORI, IJEBU IGBO — The free computer training programme sponsored by the Ward 1 Atikori Councillor of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Issa Ayotomiwa, has officially come to an end, with beneficiaries expressing appreciation for the opportunity to acquire valuable digital and computer skills.
The training, held at Government Technical College, Atikori, Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, was designed to expose students to basic computer knowledge and practical digital skills that can enhance their academic pursuits and prepare them for future opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Within the short period of the programme, participating students were introduced to various aspects of computer education. The beneficiaries described the experience as impactful, noting that the training had broadened their knowledge and given them practical skills they could continue to develop beyond the programme.

Speaking during the visit, Media Analyst, Owoseni Ridwan Kakaki, commended the initiative and described the computer training as a meaningful investment in the future of the students.
Kakaki advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of the knowledge they had acquired, urging them not to see the training as the end of their learning journey but as a foundation upon which they could build greater digital skills and professional opportunities.
He also commended Hon. Issa Ayotomiwa for initiating and sponsoring the programme, stressing that initiatives that directly empower young people with practical skills deserve recognition and encouragement.

Also speaking on the programme, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) for Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Adeniyi Sojirin, while representing the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Omobolaji Odusanya, commended the initiative and welcomed the effort to provide young people with practical computer skills.
Hon. Sojirin appreciated the sponsor for investing in the development of students and described the initiative as a positive step towards empowering members of the community.
He emphasized the importance of education, skills acquisition and youth-focused programmes in building a stronger and more productive society.
