Popular TikToker Jidex Hails Omoba Abimbola Onabanjo, Declares Him ‘Next Awujale’ Over 52 Borehole Projects in Ijebu Ode

Popular TikTok personality, Jidex, has publicly praised Ọmọba Abimbola John Onabanjo for his contributions to communities in Ijebu-Ode, describing him as a man with a good heart and declaring his support for him as the next Awujale of Ijebuland.
In a video shared on his TikTok page, Jidex commended Ọmọba Onabanjo over the provision of boreholes across communities in Ijebu-Ode, saying the initiative demonstrated his commitment to improving the lives of the people.
According to reports, Ọmọba Abimbola Onabanjo and his wife, Olori Abayomi Onabanjo, have undertaken a water intervention project targeting 52 boreholes across different communities in Ijebu-Ode. Recent reports indicate that the projects have been inaugurated in phases, with the initiative aimed at improving access to potable water.
Jidex, while speaking in the video, described Onabanjo as someone with a good heart and praised his efforts toward community development.
Ọmọba Abimbola John Onabanjo is a Banking and Finance graduate of Lagos State University, where he obtained a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance. He is also a businessman and a member of the Ijebu royal family.
Onabanjo was among the princes whose names were associated with the process for the selection of a successor to the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
Jidex’s declaration has added to the growing public conversations surrounding the vacant Awujale stool, as the people of Ijebuland await the conclusion of the traditional selection process.
