Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo Donates 40 New Foam Mattresses to Ijebu Igbo General Hospital, Other Health Centres in Ijebu Igbo

The Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo, High Chief Alhaji Ismail Abiodun Olawale Lawal Abinugbola, MSc, has donated 40 brand-new foam mattresses to Ijebu Igbo General Hospital and three other health centres in the community as part of his continued support for healthcare delivery and community development.
The donation was distributed across four healthcare facilities in Ijebu Igbo to improve the comfort of patients and support the work of healthcare providers.
The distribution was as follows:
- Ijebu Igbo General Hospital: 25 foam mattresses
- Obada Primary Health Centre, Ijebu Igbo: 5 foam mattresses
- Atikori Health Centre: 5 foam mattresses
- Oke-Agbo Health Centre: 5 foam mattresses
The management representatives and healthcare workers at the facilities welcomed and appreciated the donation, expressing gratitude to the Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo for his generosity, love and continued support for the community.
The mattresses were presented on behalf of High Chief Lawal Abinugbola by a delegation comprising Mr Owoseni Ridwan Kakaki, Chief Opeyemi Keji, Mr Idowu Ayodeji and Comrade Ajibise Lateef, who were present during the exercise.
The gesture reflects the importance of community-driven support in improving healthcare facilities and ensuring that patients receive better care in a more comfortable environment.
Complementing Efforts to Improve Healthcare in Ijebu Igbo
The donation also comes at a time when efforts are being made to strengthen healthcare services in the area.
Recall that the Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Dr Bolaji Odusanya, recently donated a N10million off-grid solar power system to Ijebu Igbo General Hospital in celebration of his birthday.
The solar power project is aimed at supporting essential hospital services by providing a more reliable source of electricity for healthcare delivery.
The chairman’s intervention and the Oluomo’s mattress donation highlight the value of collaboration between public office holders, community leaders and other well-meaning individuals in addressing the needs of local healthcare facilities.
