The former Ogun State Governor and Presidential aspirant on the platform of the All progressive congress, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, aired out his mind on why he stepped down for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to him , his profound desire to become the President of Nigeria was not out of personal interest, but to give the South-West another opportunity to take over the seat, since 2007 that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo left the office
He made it known at a welcoming gathering organized for him at Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He added that the unity of the southwest and Nigeria, in general, is paramount to him, expressing optimism that the Tinubu presidency would usher in a new a Nigeria everybody dreams of
He concluded by appealing to his supporters to extend their prayers and maximum support for Tinubu, saying he would return Nigeria to the “Good old days”
