
A devastating incident occurred this morning in oke moje area Atikori, Ijebu Igbo Ogun State, leaving one person dead.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim, 52 years old Mr Kazeem (popularly known as Little), was stabbed to death by his apprentice, popularly known as Panla.
The altercation reportedly began over a ₦1,000 dispute. Kazeem had sent Panla to get a message for him, but upon returning, Panla claimed he was owed ₦1,000. The disagreement escalated, and Panla allegedly grabbed a broken bottle, stabbing Kazeem multiple times, including in the neck.
Panla fled the scene, and the police were promptly notified. Authorities arrived, took the body to the mortuary, and launched an investigation.
Efforts are underway to apprehend Panla, who remains at large.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting calls for calm. Local authorities urge residents to avoid violence, emphasizing its devastating consequences.
