The Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Alumni Association (AAPAA) has formally congratulated Alhaji (Chief) Abiodun Olawale Lawal Abinugbola on his conferment as the Oluomo of Ijebu-Igbo, describing the chieftaincy title as a well-deserved recognition of his service, leadership, and enduring contributions to community development.
In an official congratulatory letter dated 4th February, 2026, and signed by the Protem President, Alawode Bamidele, the alumni body expressed deep pride in the emergence of the business leader and philanthropist as one of Ijebu-Igbo’s foremost traditional title holders.
The association noted that the elevation of Alhaji Chief Abinugbola to the revered title of Oluomo of Ijebu-Igbo reflects the visible fruits of decades of dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the upliftment of society. Drawing from cultural wisdom, the alumni body described him as a “tree known by its fruits,” whose impact continues to resonate across economic, social and humanitarian spheres.
The leadership journey of the Oluomo of Ijebu-Igbo dates back to his student days, where he served as Students’ Union Government SUG President at Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAPOLY).
Highlighting his journey from a student of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic to a respected community leader and successful entrepreneur, the association described his story as inspirational and instructive to younger generations. According to the letter, the chieftaincy title is not merely ceremonial, but a call to deeper service, leadership and mentorship within Ijebu-Igbo and beyond.
The alumni association further commended Alhaji Abinugbola’s role in creating employment opportunities through his business ventures, supporting the less privileged and contributing to community-building initiatives, stating that his influence has consistently sparked positive change.
Emphasizing values of integrity, generosity, and empathy, the association expressed confidence that the new Oluomo will continue to wield his influence with wisdom and compassion, while strengthening unity and progress within Ijebu-Igbo.
