A man identified as Segun and two of his friends narrowly escaped death after an alleged poisoning incident at a photo studio where they had gone to take birthday photographs.
According to reports, one of the men present, who was wearing a black T-shirt, allegedly poisoned the food consumed by the three friends. Fortunately, the suspect has since been arrested, and the victims survived the incident.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly explained that his actions were driven by resentment and financial frustration. He claimed that in 2025, while facing serious financial difficulties, he reached out to Segun for assistance. After requesting help for a ₦5 million problem, Segun allegedly sent him N500,000.
The suspect stated that he felt deeply angry, believing Segun had the financial capacity to do more. He further claimed that he never intended to harm all three individuals, but because they shared the same food, everyone was affected.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions online, raising serious concerns about entitlement, unresolved anger, and betrayal among friends.
Authorities continue to investigate the case, while the public is urged to remain cautious and to pay attention to warning signs in personal relationships.
