A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Lagos involving the tragic death of a 17-year-old boy, reportedly killed by individuals believed to be his friends.
According to reports, the teenager was lured and kidnapped by the suspects, who allegedly planned to extort money from his family. They initially demanded a ransom running into millions of naira, assuming his family could afford it.
However, in a shocking turn of events, the boy was reportedly killed by his captors. His body was later discovered dumped in a canal in the Ibeju-Lekki area.
Investigations suggest the suspects proceeded to demand ransom from the family even after the victim had been killed. Law enforcement authorities have since arrested those allegedly involved, and further investigations are ongoing.
This tragic case highlights the growing concerns around youth involvement in violent crimes, betrayal among peers, and the devastating consequences of greed.
