Residents of Ijebu North Local Government Area will have the opportunity to purchase essential food items at subsidised prices as the Renewed Hope Food Subsidy Market holds its Ijebu North edition on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The programme is scheduled to take place at the Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat, Ijebu-Igbo, with NIN verification commencing at 9:00 a.m while the sale of food items is expected to begin by 10am
According to the organisers, each beneficiary will be allowed to purchase food items worth a maximum of N15,000 to ensure more residents benefit from the initiative. Enjoy Up to 50% Discount on Essential Food Items
Payments can be made through POS or bank transfer, with applicable transaction charges.
Food items available at the subsidised market include:
- 1 kongo of rice – N1,000
- 1 kongo of beans – N1,500
- 1 kongo of garri – N400
- Tomatoes (per kg) – N1,000
- Onions (per kg) – N1,500
- Spaghetti – N700
- Semo – N1,000
- Vegetable oil (1 bottle) – N1,200
- Palm oil (1 bottle) – N700
- Big yam – N2,000
- Crate of eggs – N3,500
- Chicken – N3,500
- Carton of noodles – N6,000
- Pepper (½kg) – N1,500
Residents are advised to arrive early with their National Identification Number (NIN) for verification and to take advantage of the subsidised food sales.
The initiative is part of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Food Subsidy Market programme aimed at easing the burden of rising food costs and improving access to affordable food commodities for Nigerians.
